Sons of desire (poem)

 

Sons of desire is a poem about the real nature of desire. Whenever we wish for something, it gives Hope – which is the source of our happiness, and Suffering – which is the source of our sadness. So desire,in my eyes,is the source of all(Happiness and sadness).

When I desire something,
Oh, Desire- the source of all,
You give birth to two sons,
Hope and suffering.
Hope – the first child,
You shine brighter than stars.
Radiating joy in senses,
You are the perfect son.
Suffering- the second child,
Weak at birth but gaining strength.
Hiding behind and waiting,
To murder mother and brother.
