India — a blessed land of wonders | Independence day poem

Today is August 15! Happy Independence Day to all 🙂 I am so proud to be an Indian and I really miss my school days and independence day celebrations with friends. The sight of unfurling Indian Flag, the pride in singing the national anthem with classmates are unforgettable. Today I thought about writing a short poem — Independence day poem.

Independence day poem

My home is in a blessed land
With countless qualities so grand.
Mountains, forests, deserts it expand,
Upholds peace instead of command

Tolerating countless invasions
Fighting for right and relations
Dharma is its strong foundation
Still a muse for generations

This land is full of wonder
Languages and religions a lot in number.
Millions of hearts bright and younger,
This paradise will always prosper.
