Oh my son — An introvert Mother's advice | Poem

oh my son poem about mother and son

‘Oh, my son’ is a poem about two pessimists/introverts — My mother and me.
Oh my son, my little lamb
Out there is a cruel world.
With wolves in sheep’s clothes,
Waiting for a golden chance.

Oh my son, my little child
Don’t walk towards the dark
Look at what is behind the trees
Instead of pondering over the stars.

Oh my son, my little traveller
Stop wandering around unknown lands.
Heaven seems far away in the skies,
Until you realize my advice.

Oh my son, my true love
Be a child rather than a man
Find joy in the tiny fortunes you have,
Mom loves you for what you are.
